Situated in the Canterbury High Country near the head of the Rakaia River, Terrace Downs High Country Golf Resort had previously experienced difficulties completing construction projects due to adverse weather conditions on site causing time and cost over runs.

Precast construction options (in lieu of block construction) were investigated and developed with C. Lund & Son Ltd for Stage 2 of the 2-3 bedroom villa complexes.

Making the most of our companies heavy construction capabilities the benefits of off site construction meant an accelerated building programme and better standards of construction were realized. C Lund & Son Ltd own heavy capacity strut crawler cranes were left full time on site and the effects on the project of down time due to high winds and snow conditions were minimized.

High standards of internal finishing and joinery were essential to the exclusive Terrace Downs Resort, Lunds Joinery have a reputation for the highest standards in production of joinery and they worked together with C. Lund & Son Ltd and all finishing trades under a strict quality control programme. Stage 3 was further negotiated and contracted to C Lund & Son Ltd. The outcome is a special project for C Lund & Son Ltd, our company has built some luxury accommodation to the highest standards in a unique and spectacular setting and which will be enjoyed for many years by visitors to Terrace Down Resort.
