The 6752 seat South Stand at Jade Stadium (DB Draught Stand) was built in 14 weeks by C Lund & Son during the winter of 2000. This timeframe was so tight several construction companies said it could not be done.

When the contract went to tender Jade Stadium had two prerequisites. One was the quality of construction and the other was on-time delivery. Jade Stadium were under a lot of pressure for the new stand to be ready for the 2000 All Blacks-South Africa test because many of the tickets had been sold to supporters from South Africa and other parts of New Zealand.

"When construction began in April we were a bit nervous, but the staff of C. Lund & Son were unflappable. They never faltered and they exuded confidence the entire time" Bryn McGoldrick CEO Jade Stadium Ltd.

C Lund & Son are able to meet tight deadlines as they are largely self-sufficient in labour plant and equipment. Their staff are very experienced and work together to achieve the results required of them.
